Clouds Rolling Over The Forbidden Mountain

Chinese Theater
This is a shot that I went back and forth on posting. After our ADR at 50's Prime Time Cafe, we walked around DHS for a little while, shooting some pictures. I wasn't expecting to do any night shooting after our late dinner, so I didn't have my tripod with me. To steady my camera to get this 10 second exposure, I ended up zipping the left side of camera into the top of my camera backpack. LoL. Please let me know what you all think and as always, Enjoy!

Happy Birthday... To Me!
Today for my birthday, after getting off work early, I met my girlfriend Jenea at our house and then went on a birthday shopping trip to the camera shot. The Nikon SB-700 Flash is what I came home with. Between wanting better flash for overall portraits, I figured it would be incredibly worth it to have for future wedding shoots as well as AF Assist function for low light - no flash situations. I've played around with it a little bit tonight, that's why these shots are going up a little later than usual, but after some studying and practice this will be a great addition to my bag. :) I seriously have the best girlfriend in the world!
Feeling Dapper
The first time into the Magic Kingdom during a trip is always a great feeling. This was our first trip to where Magic Kingdom wasn't our first park that we visited, we decided Epcot was a better idea. So the next morning when we entered the Magic Kingdom, I was ready for some fun. Coming down Main Street into the hub, shooting pictures all the way, I saw the Dapper Dans talking to some guests and getting pictures. So I politely waited for the guests to be done and then said, "Hey Fellows, can I get a smile?" One got the attention of the other three and I got this great pose. The Wave
Although we didn't eat at The Wave on our last trip, it was on the list of places to shoot while we were on our monorail resort tour. I was even fortunate to run into a couple of nice Cast Members from The Wave that waited patiently behind me while I shot this and then wanted to see what I had captured. Mad Tea Party
I've always loved this area of the Magic Kingdom as Alice in Wonderland has always been a favorite Disney movie of mine. I have always loved the Alice stories, and mix that with Disney animation and Mary Blair styling, you just can't go wrong. Tree Of Life Garden
The entrance sign to the Tree of Life Garden in the Animal Kingdom. Ever since my first visit to Animal Kingdom, I've loved this sign, so it was of course on the top of my shot list for AK. Jumping Fountain
A shot of the Imagination pavilion and jumping fountains towards the end of blue hour. I spent a good deal of time processing this one. This is a 3 shot HDR bracketed -2 0 +2, and I layer masked the original sky back into the shot. This is the first time I've tried this type of night time HDR processing, so please let me know what you all think of it. I've said this time and time again, the worn look of Animal Kingdom is just spectacular. Everything in the Africa and Asia sections of the park look like they've been there for decades. Showtime Saturday - Hope
For this Showtime Saturday shot, I know it's going up early but I have to work tomorrow, I wanted to highlight something I think a lot of people pass by. Flights of Wonder in the Animal Kingdom is an extremely interesting show in a beautiful setting. One thing I like most about this show is that it goes back to that original concept in Disney Imagineering, edutainment. A show where you are both entertained and informed about different species of birds. One thing evident in this show is that the people involved in this show really do love what they do. One of the highlights to the show is when they bring our Hope, a beautiful Bald Eagle. I really love the way this shot turned out because Hope's handler is looking up at her with such respect that you can tell that she and Hope are both quite happy where they are. I hope you all have seen this show and if not, please give it a chance, at least once. :) Enjoy!

Passing Under The Paifang Gate
Entering the China pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase, we pass under the Paifang Gate, which I can never help but look up at as I pass underneath. The color found in this structure as well as the rest of the pavilion, is just my speed. LoL. Grand Beauty
Another shot from our Seven Seas Lagoon Resort tour. As far as I can remember, this was our first time visiting the Grand Floridian Resort. Even though I'm still not sure if the feel of the resort is right for me, seems a bit too "posh", I'd like to stay here just to have views like this one everyday. The grounds of this resort are absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful. This is a 3 shot HDR bracketed +2 0 -2 merged in Photomatix and then touched up in both Lightroom and Photoshop CS3. Wilderness Lobby
While reviewing my shots from this morning spent at the Wilderness Lodge, I was really happy with the way this one came out. I was happy that there were people in it as I was trying to show off how massive this lobby actually is. Now I don't think that it can be shown in a picture as well as it can if someone were to walk in the front doors of this place, but never-the-less I think it's a decent representation. P.S. - I will be leaving Friday evening for our favorite Bass River Resort for an evening of camping, followed by a 13 mile kayak float down the river. It's going to be a great time as I love spending time on the water, it will be quite relaxing. So I won't be around a whole lot on Saturday, we will be getting home a bit later on Saturday so if I have to time to catch up on everyone's streams I will. :)

Can I Offer You An Umbrella?
Another one of those great gators from poolside at the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. I really had a lot of fun shooting these little guys and wish even still that I would have spent a bit more time and a couple more shots with them. I got at least one good shot of each one. I thought this one was perfect for this weekend because I don't know about the rest of the country but here in St. Louis, it is crazy hot! Opening Next Season
Here's a shot of Disney's next deluxe resort! lol. I've gone on and on about the details in Animal Kingdom and especially in Asia. This is one such detail for the Yeti Palace Hotel. Everything about this in it's details suggests that the structure itself has been here forever. Disney's ability to give a natural "age" to their details never ceases to amaze me.
